A Prelude to a Storm


This was taken before a pretty wicked storm blew through our area. You can already see the clouds piling up and building to a crescendo that would wipe away any of the day's dirt. This is my first sky watch, I hope that it is acceptable. (H/T Catherine at THE FIVE OF US)

    Is it the 'LOST Island'? I wonder if this grey cloud shouldn't suggest something wrong? What are the figures again? 4 (4th of July, of course), 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 ...

    I wish this scene was in my backyard. I would think I had died and gone to Heaven.

    I think this is the best Sky Watch Friday yet. The things I have seen are very encouraging and the photography is spot on.

    I really admire your photography choices and your critical eye for composition, lighting and texture.

    Great catch for SWF! This reminds me the quote... "God and Nature first made us what we are, and then out of our own created genius we make ourselves what we want to be.
