A Boy and His Duck

Who else could it be, but Danny!! The older boys are so over ducks!

Here he is making a leap. Crazy boy, has absolutely NO FEAR.
Here I hold him, all calm and quiet...Holy Smokes! That kid is fast!
"Warn me next time kiddo!"Fun times before the rains came, at least I think they came later that day. I can never tell.:)

  1. Hey, good for Danny, being so comfortable in the water! And I do believe this is the first picture of you that I've seen on your blog. Now I have a face to go with the new name!

  2. The CHANCE! A swimming pool without a crowd inside!
Have you noticed too, the way kids enter in the water without preocupating of the temperature of the water?

  3. My secret identity is blown?! Darn!

You are correct Catherine, while I ease myself into the pool (afraid of cold water), the kids just leap in. Now that we know what Danny is capable of, we're going to have to keep a closer eye on that boy.

What is funny about our youngest is that he hates to be wet, when it isn't the appropriate time (i.e in a pool, or in a tub), he just cracks me up because if he gets so much as a drop on his shirt it's "shirt off, Daddy" quickly followed by "shirt off Daddy, NOW!"

  4. I DREAD the day that J is over ducks, little cars with big wheels, his daddy's belly bubbles, his momma's songs, his cereal puffs, his Little People animals . . . dread it.

    That little guy is AWESOME!!!

  5. What a fun little guy you have there. And what a fun Daddy he has.

  6. Cute kid! My youngest is five now, and we can't get him to go in the pool. When he was Danny's age he loved to jump in, too. I don't know what happened!

And I'm putting your blog on my blogroll if that's okay. We people with 6 kids need to stick together.

  7. Well, guess what? I showed my five year old, (Chris) the pictures of your son in the lake, yesterday, and it must have have made an impression because he jumped right in. He's going to be going in every day now, just like in the past.

    Thanks for posting those pictures!

  9. How fun!! Eli was like that too, I'm amazed we haven't been to the ER with that kid yet!
I like your name change & all your recent posts. I've been a negligent blogger recently & have not had time to read blogs much. *sigh*

  12. Sorry about those last 2 deletes. I'm an idiot. I like your new title and the cool signature!

So how did Danny like the dunking?

  13. Keep even your 2 eyes on little Danny, there're too many accidents in private swimming pools!
I've seen Olivier (when he was 2 and a half years old ) who was about to drown himself in 1 meter of water (40 inches). He was unable to pick himself up. This terrific moment when I was running to him gave me the most important lesson in my life. Water even a few inches is dangerous for a kid.

  14. The last three pictures are out of sequence, I think, because Danny did just that. He caught me off guard and just jumped off my leg. It was one of those "Oh Crap" moments for sure.
