Only to peter out...
This cannot be.
I must continue, lest the world be taken over by someone else.
That would be bad.
Very
Very
Bad.
This may make sense to some,
The wise ones,
Whereas others will be left scratching their heads.
That's okay.
We'll take care of you.

Getting Fit
Over the years, I have become rather lazy, and because of said laziness, I have also become fat.
Not so fat that I cannot wipe my own ass fat, but still, pretty darn hefty.
According to whomever you believe, I am somewhere between 125-150 pounds overweight, and considering that I was still in high school, and not fat, at that 150 pound level, I will be shooting for closer to the 125 pounds to lose.
So, how does one lose weight, and keep it away?
For one thing, you need to cut down your serving sizes.
Exercise
Cut out as many carbohydrates that you can.
Exercise
Try eliminating all sugars.
Exercise
Stop drinking any soda, period. Drink more water - that has become my new mantra.
Exercise.
Getting the drift here? It means no more tasty cakes and Dr Pepper because you are bored. Nope, you now should eat more spinach, and other proteins like eggs, meat, and cheese. Oh and you should probably get off your lazy ass every day for at least thirty minutes a day. I don't mean just rolling over and onto the bed for a nap either.
Walking is a great exercise, you can walk 30 minutes a day and I bet you will start losing some of that weight.. If you change habits and quit drinking soda - even diet soda is no good for you, FYI, so just give it all up.
NOW!
You'll thank me later.
Now walking while traveling can be a pain and difficult to do; you don't know where anything is, your hotel has no exercise facility, it's three degrees above zero Fahrenheit with a wind chill of -20. All good excuses, for losers.
Don't get mad at me, I mean until recently - like five days ago, I was a loser just like you. Now I want to be a different kind of loser; a loser of weight.
I have seven children that one day, I hope, will bring me grandchildren. I would like to see as many of these grandchildren grow up and get married that I possibly can. Being a fat ass, won't allow it.
Trust me.
So you have the excuses, but you also know what you have? A Walmart, a grocery store, a mall, guess where you can walk in relative comfort. If you are worried about the spending of funds on many unneeded items, leave your wallet at home, or in your car (make sure you lock it).
The stories you will tell, just by observing your fellow man or woman, trust me on this.
So, what am I saying?
No more excuses. Period. If I can do it, so can you!
Good luck!

Wandering Walking Words
I always wanted to be a spy.
No, I take that back. I always wanted to be James Bond. I mean he got the cool gadgets, could shoot anybody that pissed him off, oh and he always got the girl.
Well, that didn't happen. Not even close.
Instead I have these visions, while walking, which has me pitted against evil agents from the planet Balombo, or maybe just from some compound deep in the Rocky Mountains. You know the ones of which I speak - the people that want to run the world for their evil intentions.
Or something like that.
So, I am walking in the cold, with the wind pushing me along - scratch that, I was walking into the wind the whole time, I'm pretty sure. Anyway, I am walking along in my shorts, trying not to not think about the fact that it is probably below freezing, and I become that spy once again.
I am doing battle with the evil emperor Zurg, but quickly realize that this is not where I am supposed to be, so I head off after SPECTRE. Alone. Without nary a weapon.
Did I just use nary in a sentence? Did I use it properly? Should I even be concerned about that when I have six agents of SPECTRE on my tail, and I have no weapon and it's cold outside.
I need a digital voice recorder, to better keep track of this stuff I think.
Plus the fact that I don't believe that I actually was thinking myself as James Bond, rather instead I was dodging all the crazy kids driving around, trying to shoot out there tires, or something much worse - call their moms.
As I turned the corner, I found that I was no longer walking along the neighborhood, rather I was flying - pretty cool, no? Yes, I was actually flying, and it felt pretty cool, once I figured out what was going on. I mean where does one learn how to just suddenly fly? I felt like "The Greatest American Hero" when he found out that he had super powers.
I wasn't really flying, by the way, just imagining it. Still pretty cool though. I figure that must have been when I lost the feeling in my legs, due to frostbite.
Did I mention that it was cold?
Stargate SG-1 the early years, was so freaking awesome. I'm currently reliving season three - way cool. Fun stuff, and I highly recommend them to anyone that will listen, or read.
Okay, the show just got way interesting, so I must go now.
Bye-bye!

Chunky Walks Briskly Bringing Weight Change
So this dude that weighs in at a whole lot more than he should decided it was time to lose the chunk.
Little did he know that his lovely bride was thinking that he should do the same, because she likes to wrap her arms around him, and currently cannot.
His children are also on the "lose the chunk" bandwagon, because they want him to keep buying them cool stuff.
They all conspired together, even the 'Chunky Monkey,' to get his act together. Because even though he can be a pain in the butt at times, they still love him and want him to stick around for a lot longer. They don't even need the cool stuff, just their daddy and husband.
This is his story. It will be updated occasionally, with information like what he ate, how far he walked/ran, if he had any Moose Tracks ice cream. In fact, one of his children even volunteered to eat all of the ice cream in the house, to keep his Dad from being tempted. What a good boy.
Anyway, today was day one and he went for a mile and a half, or maybe it was a two mile, walk at a brisk pace. So stay tuned for future updates from Chunky, and maybe he'll even throw his weight in here for those of you charting at home.
God Bless!

A Walk in the Park
I am taking up walking, for my health and the kids love it.

Yikes!!
Why, you ask?
Because they get to come along - at least on my evening walks. They don't want to get up early and walk with me in the morning. Okay, Katie does, but I don't think that Jenni wants her to. Besides, and I know I am being totally selfish here, I kind of like the peace and quiet that my iPod brings me. :-)
Anyway, last night I had to drop off Jessie and Jordan (neighbor and God daughter) off at church for music practice. They are getting prepared for Vacation Bible School next week. Jenni jumped out of the car along the way (I forgot to drop her off at the library {actually, I thought she said she was going to walk with us}, my bad), which freaked Danny out briefly. Then I told him that we were still going to the park, and he got over it.
So myself, Katie and Danny had a nice little walk around the lake planned...
It was great, and very scenic...
Pretty pictures of flowers taken by the girls...
Here's one by Maggie...
And one by Katie...
Like I said, a beautiful evening for a walk, until...
Do you see that thing on Danny's head (I should have photo shopped a circle around that thing)? I swear it is a cross between a horsefly and a mosquito. Very evil!! They were so thick that we had to turn around and run for the cover of the minivan.
We did escape them so that we could walk again...
